Understanding Your Speed Test Results

Download Speed

Download speed measures how quickly data travels from the internet to your device. Higher download speeds allow for faster web browsing, smoother streaming, and quicker file downloads.

  • 0-25 Mbps: Basic web browsing and email
  • 25-50 Mbps: HD video streaming and online gaming
  • 50-100 Mbps: Multiple devices streaming HD content
  • 100+ Mbps: 4K streaming and large file downloads

Upload Speed

Upload speed measures how quickly data travels from your device to the internet. Higher upload speeds improve video calls, file sharing, and cloud backups.

  • 0-5 Mbps: Basic social media and email
  • 5-10 Mbps: Video calls and photo uploads
  • 10-25 Mbps: Live streaming and cloud backups
  • 25+ Mbps: Professional content creation and large file uploads

Ping & Latency

Ping measures the time it takes for data to travel from your device to a server and back. Lower ping times mean more responsive connections, which is especially important for online gaming, video calls, and real-time applications.

  • 0-20 ms: Excellent for competitive gaming and real-time applications
  • 20-50 ms: Good for most online activities and casual gaming
  • 50-100 ms: Acceptable for general use but may cause slight delays
  • 100+ ms: Noticeable lag in real-time applications and gaming
